Hello everyone,

I would very much like to contribute to gNewSense. I have been running it
on my main computer for a while now. Before that I used Debian. I am
halfway through a Computer Science degree.

I thought a good first step might be to look at some of the open
tasks/bugs on the Savannah project? To that end, I will apply for
membership of the group. I hope that will be OK.

Best wishes

Hugh

That's ok. Have a look at the open issues and ask here if there's
anything you need to know.

Thanks again. I had a look through and it wasn't 100% clear which
tasks/bugs still need working on. Would useful first step be for me
to go through the lists and try to work out which ones are still
relevant?
Sure. There might also be some issues that don't have an open bug
report. E.g. Icedove is still in the needsclean section of Ucclia's
debderiver filter [1]. The bug was reported for gNewSense 3 [2]. You
could duplicate the bug report for gNewSense 4 and port Parkes' patch
over to Ucclia. Working on other bugs is fine too.

[1] Savannah's bzr is down, so I don't have the link handy.
