Hi and welcome !
At the moment we are working on creating a new release of gNewSense
based on debian wheezy[1]. We are in the process of debugging the main
builder scripts and the gen-scripts that build individual packages[2].
There is a debmirror command that does not work properly as described
here [3].
Besides this, i suggest browsing through the gNewSense website [4].
Good to have you on board

systems.
I was repack my raspberry pi(ARM) operating system - raspbian.
people go raspbian.org <http://raspbian.org> dnowload raspbian will
get a .img file right? I also get a .img file and install to sdcard,
and I remove something I do not want or non-free, after that repack
to a .img file. so can be share it to people.

I need some one talk to me and guide.
Welcome to gNewSense. Could you introduce yourself and give some
more
information about your experience, skills and interests? That
makes it
easier to get you started with something that fits you.
And do some test ?
There are no tests or certifications required to start with
gNewSense.
We're pretty easy-going about that. :)
Regards,
Sam Geeraerts

Why the next relase doesn't based on Debian 9. It's no sense that it
's based on Debian Wheezy ?

If you want that we can make one contest with votations, we had talk
about that, and now do you want the next release will based on wheezy
without talk ?

thanks in advanded

The next release (Dunsink) will be based on Debian 8 (Jessie). Lordeddi
was basing his work on Builder on Wheezy, but seeing as he's focusing
on the parts that don't modify the actual packages that doesn't matter
much. The important thing is that it will work for a Debian version.

I find a Jessie based release important because that's the last that
still works on the Lemote Yeeloong. But I'll be glad for people to also
work on a Stretch based release. The package modifications should be
pretty similar.

I'm breaking up the work into smaller chunks, i.e. creating a task in
Savannah [1] for the gen-scripts. I've added a Dunsink category to get
started with. I encourage anyone who wants to help to adopt a task.
