Details:

Our gNewSense website is some times down. When it's live it may be down for
the next time. This will be a problem for viewers. I would like to know why
this happens and how to solve it. Thank you !

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42280 (project gnewsense):

Sam Geeraerts is doing what he can.

See

Perhaps we should revert to static html published by one person?

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #42280 (project gnewsense):

There are some possible partial solutions:

* caching, so requests from bots won't waste CPU on rendering the pages
* blocking spammer in the HTTP server: needs a more clever way than IP
blocking, since they use botnets
* making the Moin/WSGI/HTTP/etc deployment more efficient, so it can handle
more spambots before getting DDoSed
* make it harder for bots to find the wiki, by e.g. not making search engines
find the standand Moin texts

I don't know the exact usage patterns of these spammers, these look ok for
what my wiki gets.
